Quad12x: 1440Hz greyscale, half resolution
In Quad12x mode, also known as 1440Hz mode, video is passed from the GPU to the display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 p @ 120Hz.
The custom sequencer converts the R, G and B colour planes into three greyscale images, then divides those full resolution greyscale images into four 960 x 540 “quadrants.” The twelve subsequent greyscale quadrants are displayed sequentially, yielding a final refreshrate of 1440Hz.
All quadrants are displayed full-screen, greyscale.
